Vote for Roger Davis for CCC Board of Governors  District 3

How I see things:

Experience

I have served in higher education

for over 40 years and am an emeriti Professor of History from UNK. In addition to my years of service on the Central Community College Board, I am also a member of the Board of Directors of the Senior College of Central Nebraska.

Fiscal Policy

As a Board member I have participated in numerous audits of both fiscal and administrative matters and fully endorse the integrity and conservative fiscal policy of the leadership of Central Community College.

Workforce

I am proud to support the excellent programs of outreach and community engagement that are the hallmarks of

CCC. The administrative leadership is in constant contact with community and business leaders across our 25-county service area. Programs in heavy

equipment training, welding,

mechatronics, culinary arts, nursing, and numerous other areas are a testament to

the college’s commitment to local workforce development.

Accountability

The Board and Administration maintain

policies of review both internally and in the context of external accreditation to ensure

high standards of accountability. I have supported and participated in those efforts

and am pleased to note the outstanding reputation of integrity and quality in

instruction and administration that

distinguish Central Community College.

Transparency

Central Community College adheres to the state open meetings statutes and the public

is invited to speak at every board meeting. All board meetings are recorded and made available to the public on the college web site. Agenda topics and materials are made available to the public prior to all meetings. Public access and engagement are distinctive hallmarks of Central Community College and I strongly support those policies and practices

Community

Central Community College is a vital community asset which is well respected

and much appreciated across its service

area. I am honored to serve the Nebraskans

of District 3 by representing them on the board. From Albion to Kearney, from

Greely, Ord, Loup City and St. Paul to Rockville, Ravenna, Gibbon, Shelton and

for all the communities across Boone,

Valley, Greely, Sherman, Howard, and Buffalo counties – they have a role in ensuring the continued success of Central Community College and its pledge to maximize student and community success.
